On the 21st July, an article by Tiziana Pisati was published in Italy’s most widely read newspaper, Corriere della Sera, about our appeal to help relaunch Danilo Parsi, ferryman of the Po.
Since Danilo’s boat was stolen and sunk, the Confraternity have launched an appeal to allow him to continue his mission of taking pilgrims across the Po.
We’re thrilled to announce that to date we have received over £5,000 from 135 different supporters. Huge thanks if you have been able to make a contribution. The appeal remains open.
We are conversation with Danilo and the local Italian authorities and look forward to sharing further updates with you.
