Confraternity AGM 16 March 2019

AGM Saturday 16 March 2019 Southwark Cathedral

Notice is hereby given that the Confraternity’s 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and open day will be held at Southwark Cathedral Conference Centre on Saturday 16 March 2019 starting with tea and coffee and registration at 10.30am.

Attendance is free: Please register your place here  Register

The meeting will take place in the Gary Weston Library on the first floor of the Millennium Building, the modern extension on the north side of the Cathedral facing the River Thames.

The business of the AGM will start at 11am with a report by the Chairman, and will include updates from Steering Group officers on their various activities.

Before a break for lunch, Yorkshireman Stuart Nelson will give an illustrated talk on his walk in 2018 – Taking the High Road from Scotland to Rome.

Following lunch, Anja Bakker will talk about another extraordinary pilgrimage in 2018 – From West Cork Ireland to Rome carrying Sean the Harp. Anja will also play for us.

During the day, there will be plenty of opportunity for those setting out on the Via Francigena to ask questions and seek practical advice.

Southwark is an exciting new venue for our AGM. The Cathedral has excellent facilities and is, of course, on the traditional pilgrim route from London to Canterbury.

There is no set lunch, but there is a cafeteria in the Millennium Building and there are sandwich and snack bars in nearby Borough Market and Borough High Street.

Everyone is welcome, members and non-members, and anyone thinking of joining us or planning to walk or cycle to Rome.
