Amazing gite! I was given code to get in whenever I arrived but Alain was there doing a few things when I arrived. There are several small rooms with a few beds each. The toilets & showers are well -designed. It seems the gite is set up for more pilgrims to walk this route – a luxury version of a camino albergue. Laundry sink, indoor drying rack, outdoor washing lines, and a pay for use washing machine. Kitchen – well equipped – and had some basics supplied. There is a supermarket opposite but there is also an emergency supply of food in the cupbooard that can be purchased if the shop is shut. Alain returned in the evening to even bring me a homegrown tomato. Also Alain made sure I knew route and accomodation options coming up and about the history of the town. The only thing is that is gite is on the main road through Therouanne so note there is road noise from big lorries – but this so balanced out by everything else! Definitely recommend!
