
The Kent Pilgrims Festival offers plenty of tasters in this beautiful county for the walking pilgrim. There is something for everyone, from the 31km Via Francigena Canterbury to Dover to a fully-accessible walk for unpaid carers and those they care for.

21 September: Ashford’s Old Way. Appledore to Lympne and beyond, a self-guided walk using a guide created for the Kent Pilgrims Festival.
21 September: Ashford to Wye, a traditional self-guided pilgrimage along a new route created for the Festival.
21 September: A Pilgrims Way for Carers. Unpaid carers and those they care for are invited to a free walk, talk and lunch in the grounds of Godinton House. Fully wheelchair accessible, and there will be a Mobiloo.
22 September: Women to Womenswold. A gentle half-day walk led by Faye Smith, for women coping with loss.
23 September: History Hike from Wye to Chilham. Become a pilgrim on this eight-mile history walk.
23 September: The Pilgrimage of the Chough. A two-day journey of transformation through Kent with the British Pilgrimage Trust exploring Thomas Becket and his emblem, the chough.
23 September: Fit for Business. A Net-Walk workshop for women who work for themselves and care about their wellbeing.
24 September: History hike (nine miles) from Chilham to Canterbury.
24 September: Thomas Becket Churches tour. A two-hour guided walk round Canterbury with Dr Andrew Kelly, visiting churches associated with Thomas Becket.
24-25 September: Dover’s family-friendly Pilgrim Trail. Follow in the footsteps of Dover’s medieval pilgrims, and explore historic sites around the town.
25 September: Chilham to Canterbury, a guided walk along the North Downs Way and the Pilgrims Way.
25 September: The Medieval World of the Houghams, a 10km (six mile) circular walk round historic sites west of Dover.
25 September: the Via Francigena Challenge. A one-day walking challenge for adventurous women of any or no faith along the historic Via Francigena from Canterbury to Dover.
