We are actively seeking a new chair of the CPR board

Our current chair, Carlo Laurenzi, writes:
“I shall be stepping down as chair of the board of trustees in 2023, having served in the role for three years, and before that a year as vice-chair. Consequently, we are now actively seeking a successor.
It’s a busy and pro-active role, taking the equivalent of about a day a week.
These are the skills and knowledge we are looking for:
Time and motivation – capacity is an important factor
Commitment to learn – no specialist background in pilgrimage is required
Experience of how organisations are run well
A generalist should not be put off from applying, as the CPR has a large number of experts to help you
Experience of the Via Francigena is not essential but would be a distinct advantage
Age or gender are no barrier to applying for this role, and we are of course non-denominational
Residence in the UK is desirable, as most of our board meetings are in person, and we also hold social and conference events at which the chair is present.
If you are interested, please get in touch with us for an informal chat – either with the vice-chair, Brian Mooney, brian.mooney@btinternet.com or with me at chair@pilgrimstorome.org.uk.
We look forward to hearing from you!”
